Austin Velocity volleyball camps are the collaborative effort of our top club coaches, former and current collegiate players, and staff to provide an educational experience for developing volleyball athletes to LEARN, REFINE, and IMPLEMENT specific techniques, skills, and strategies. The goal of our camp is to make the athletes and teams that attend better at playing the game and especially give them an opportunity to excel for their club and school teams. To achieve this, our camp program will be based on sound teaching philosophy where the instructors explain and demonstrate the task at hand and give continuous feedback to the athletes until they achieve the desired level of execution. The concepts of learning and applying will always be at the core of what we do in camp. We will give each athlete keywords for recall when repeating a skill.
Coaches will teach players how to perform skills while also explaining the guiding principles behind the technical instruction. Each session will incorporate volleyball skill instruction as well as competitive drills. All drills and competitive sessions are designed to give the athletes as many opportunities to contact the ball as possible. Our focus on a single skill is a great way for athletes to get specific training reps for their desired position. This will allow our coaches to specifically train you for your club or school position.
