AUSTIN VELOCITY CLUB LITE

Not ready to commit to a full club volleyball season? Austin Velocity now offers a club-lite team but with less time and financial commitment. This program offers a more advanced step from recreational play and gives your athlete a better opportunity to build on their volleyball skills. Teams are coached by Austin Velocity club coaches.

2025-2026 Girls Club Lite Season Information

Season
Starts in January 2026 and runs through April 2026 (through the last tournament). Off for Spring Break.
Practices/Tournaments
One practice a week and one tournament a month
Practices may be on weeknights (M-F) or weekends (Saturdays or Sundays).
Optional extra training will be held on Sunday – Must register to attend
Locations are in the Cedar Park/Leander area. The practice schedule will be available in December. We do not know which teams are practicing on which days yet.
11s-12s age groups: Four tournament days
13s-16s age groups: Six tournament days
On each day of a tournament, teams will play 2-4 matches. There are no single games on weekends.
Tournaments are local to the Austin area but may be as far as Seguin/Hewitt.
The tournament schedule will be available in December.
Gear
We will have a uniform try-on night. Players receive one jersey, one practice shirt, one pair of spandex, one pair of kneepads, and a bag.

Coaches have not been named to teams yet.
Teams
There are 1-3 teams in each age group. 10-12 players per team
Teammate Requests
You may request to be on the same team as a friend who also received an invitation.
2026 Season Fees 
11s – 12s age groups: $1,975
13s – 16s age groups: $2,175
Athletes who are placed on a team will be required to sign a contract within 24 hours of receiving the contract.
Fees are split into 4 payments. A down payment of $500-$700 will be required to secure your athlete’s spot on a team.
Fees do not include USAV membership (around $50), Scorer clinic ($25) or family travel expenses.
USAV Membership & Scorer Clinic
USA Volleyball membership is mandatory to be able to participate. Teams must have certified scorekeepers to complete reffing duties at tournaments, so players will need to attend a scorer clinic.

USAV Age Groups: Please carefully check your athlete’s birthdate and which age group you should be registering for. We follow USAV guidelines and players must play in their age group. They may not play down an age group if their birthdates do not line up with that age group. Players may play up an age group on certain scenarios. 

2025-2026 Season Age Definitions 

18 and Under: Players who were born between July 1, 2007 – June 30, 2008
17 and Under: Players who were born between July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009
16 and Under: Players who were born between July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2010
15 and Under: Players who were born between July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011
14 and Under: Players who were born between July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2012
13 and Under: Players who were born between July 1, 2012 – June 30, 2013
12 and Under: Players who were born between July 1, 2013 – June 30, 2014
11 and Under: Players who were born between July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015
10 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2016
