COACH HANNAH
2025-2026 154 Ruby Head Coach
Originally from Houston Texas, Coach Hannah (aka Coach Micky) played volleyball competitively for eleven years. She spent most of her volleyball career playing as a right side hitter and libero for club with GCVA as well as her high school team. Coach Micky is currently studying as a physical therapist at Texas State in Round Rock. Her enjoyment for volleyball goes beyond playing. She has a deep passion for sharing her love for the support and teaching the next generation of volleyball players. You will always find Coach Micky excited to help others achieve their volleyball goals. She hopes to make a great impact on the next volleyball generation. Coach Micky has coached for two years and this will be her third year coaching, but her first year coaching for Austin Velocity! She is very excited for the upcoming season.
COACH JUSTIN
2025-2026 154 Ruby Assistant Coach
Coach Justin, originally from Amarillo, Texas, moved to Austin to pursue his B.S. in Chemistry at Texas State University. Before college, he spent seven years competing with JET Volleyball Club—four years as a setter and three years as a right side hitter. While he no longer plays competitively, he still enjoys getting on the court whenever he can for a casual game.
Known for his calm and approachable coaching style, Coach Justin creates a welcoming and engaging environment that allows players to thrive. Beneath his relaxed demeanor lies a strong competitive drive and a genuine passion for helping athletes reach their full potential. He aims to help each player grow in every aspect of their game while maintaining their love for the sport. This season marks Coach Justin’s first year with Austin Velocity, and he’s thrilled to begin his coaching journey with the AV family.
